The challenge
Siemens Energy faced the business-critical challenge of having to urgently scale a team up for its flagship application as it had to wind down the existing team. They needed to move quickly but not sacrifice quality or jeopardise the application. And whilst quality and speed were important, it was essential to deliver value.

The solution
1. Discovery
We started by carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the client’s needs. This included everything from skills and quality to timeframes and costs. We then shortlisted several locations we felt met the criteria for clustering the remote teams; these were Portugal, Hungary and Romania. We presented the shortlist along with our analysis to the client and, after review, settled on Romania.
2. Selection
Remobi’s Service Delivery team then began the selection process. We already had a number of pre-screened Remobies ready for deployment but, in this case, we needed more. The team moved quickly using a number of channels to source suitable candidates. The team worked hard to secure a variety of roles including Software and Data Engineering, Front End Developers, Project and Product Managers, Architects and more.
3. Onboarding
Remobi took care of the onboarding process, ensuring all legal and statutory obligations are met. We also coordinated all of the logistics involved, whether that’s equipment or anything else the Remobies need to get going. Importantly, we also supported Siemens Energy with the induction process.
4. Community
The sense of community is a core value at Remobi. With that in mind, it’s so important that Remobies feel part of ours. We’re always close by and keep in regular contact; running competitions, sharing insights, and arranging Meetups. Essentially, we never stop building the community.
